Chomsky gave us the sentence: COLOURLESS GREEN IDEAS SLEEP FURIOUSLY as a sentence which was grammatically correct but did not have any meaning for us.
Yet now we do have ‘green ideas’ … how long before the rest of the sentence becomes meaningful.?
